What is the Stem Cell Facelift?

The stem cell facelift is a complete facial rejuvenation procedure that does not involve surgery. The procedure avoids any incisions and helps in the lifting of the skin itself. The main function is to restore both the youthful contour and shape of the face. Another goal is to improve the skin quality and color irregularities caused by both the aging process and exposure to the sun and environment. Patients who have undergone this procedure frequently avoid or markedly reduce the need for other maintenance procedures like botulinum toxin and cosmetic filler injections.

The function of the procedure is based on the regenerative capacity of a group of cells called ADULT STEM CELLS. Of the hundred trillion cells that make up the human body, stem cells are the most important category. They are among the few cells in the body that are specialized and have the potential to become a particular cell type and replace worn and damage cells.

A large number of stem cells exist in around adipose or fat tissue in the stroma. When stem cells are isolated and then transplanted either with or without fat into parts of the body, studies have shown that they grow and survive in these new areas helping to form new tissue at the transplanted site. By using the regenerative properties of stem cells either alone or along with transplanted fat, a marked improvement of survival of these tissues occurs.

What makes the stem cell facelift unique and different from other fat transplant procedures is the fact that the autologous (from self) isolated stem cells can be placed into areas that have had transplanted fat, and/or autologous Growth Factors (PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma), and/or Hyaluronic acid. This can help the stem cells and adipose tissues survive and grow into the needed tissue to restore lost fat, enhancing the volume of the face, and skin elements which would improve both the quality and texture of the skin.Stem Cell Facelift Rejuvenation

What is The Procedure and how is it different from other "stem cell" facelifts?

The stem cell procedure is performed under local tumescent anesthesia. After injection of the tumescent solution to the desired areas (lower abdomen, inner thighs, etc.), a fat sample or lipoaspirate (liposuction) is used to gather the required cells.

During the procedure and after removing a desired amount of fat lipoaspirate (adipose), the fat is then processed like a regular stem cell procedure. Most clinics claiming a stem cell procedure do not actually separate-out the stem cells from the fat stromal compartment. This essentially leaves the stem cells "locked-within" the surrounding collagen sheath, thus limiting or eliminating their potential to grow. We find it absolutely ludicrous to promote a "stem cell" procedure that is essentially a fat transfer with or without growth factors. Here at the Stem Cell Rejuvenation Center, we only provides the real "extracted and isolated" stem cells for the stem cell facelift procedure. The entire high-quality procedure takes at least 6 hours.

Autologous Growth factors can be used along with adipose fat cells (not the ones used to extract and isolate out the stem cells), Hyaluronic acid, and the isolated stem cells themselves.

Our artistic physicians use professional lifting and filling techniques to make an aesthetic, pleasant look without looking "overdone".  Besides using the stem cells and relying on their regenerative potential, one reason we get such good results is that our physicians are truly artistic, which is in contrast to the many physicians or nurses who perform cosmetic procedures today.

Our physicians may choose to perform a laser-assisted or chemical resurfacing of the skin to accomplish both the removal of the fine lines and skin damage present as well as to stimulate the underlying stem cells through the specific chemical or wavelength utilized.

Some patients may have fat sculpted out of specific areas of the face, particularly in the jowl area and jawline area. Therefore, depending upon the patient's specific aging features, the fat is both transplanted in certain areas and removed in others while the skin is tightened throughout the whole facial surfaces.

Over the decades, multiple procedures have been presented for rejuvenation of the face, most of them stressing the need for extensive surgery in the form of a facelift. In the last 10 years, use of soft tissue fillers has become a very popular avenue for temporary rejuvenation, or at least for creating the illusion of a younger, more rested, facial appearance.

What is an Augmented Stem Cell Facelift Procedure?

Augmented stem cell facelifts are a play on words and a way for clinics to get more money out of the patient.  Some clinics claim that they use hematopoietic stem cells (stem cells from blood) to "augment" the above described procedure. Since mesenchymal stem cells (adult stem cells from the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) of adipose) are the "tissue forming" stem cells and are mostly localized in fat (adipose), it seems counterintuitive to isolate the stem cells from blood when we have the fat already.  Here at the Stem Cell Rejuvenation Center and at our affiliate centers worldwide, we always isolate and provide you the stem cells in a "stem cell" procedure.

How is this procedure different from a conventional fat grafting or lipo transfer?

Fat grafting or Lipo Transfer is the process of transferring the fat to an area, but the stem cells are "locked" inside the tissue stroma.  Real Stem Cell Facelifts isolate the stem cells from the fat itself and then reintroduce the stem cells into the desired area.

What is the Recovery Time?

The vast majority of patients recover from the facelift procedure in anywhere from 3 to 10 days depending upon the severity of the aging process and the procedure tailored to that individual patient.

Swelling and drainage from the fat sample can continue for a few days.

Will I be satisfied with my results?

Our physicians will discuss your individual results, recovery time, and expectations at length during the initial consultation. The procedure has resulted in an extremely high patient satisfaction level.Stem Cell facelift lip augmentation

Am I a candidate?

The stem cell facelift is an ideal procedure for patient's wishing for a nonsurgical facial rejuvenation without the risks of facelift surgery. You may be a good candidate for this procedure if you have early or moderate signs of facial aging. Typically, those involve soft tissue loss in the mid-face with mild to moderate wrinkling of the skin elsewhere. It is ideal for patients who have moderate facial aging and/or who have had previous facelifts and do not wish to undergo another surgical procedure. Patients who are good candidates will sometimes have deep nasolabial fold areas, or desire enhanced cheek bones, etc.

The procedure is customized based on the patients' individual aging process and they involve not only a transplantation of fat to specific areas of the face, brows, chin and jaw, but may also involve a sculpting or removal of fat from the specific areas to create a more useful contour to the face as well as to enhance the skin contraction process for a specific patient's result.

In summary, those patients who are looking for a natural un-operated look with a marked youthful improvement, are ideal candidates.

No Descending Jowl Candidates:

Also please keep in mind that the "stem cell facelift" restores lost volume of the midface and "lifts" the upper face rather than "pulling" the skin as in the traditional surgical facelift. It does little to correct jowling, which results from soft tissue descent. If you have significant jowling our doctors will recommend a treatment plan suited for your individual needs as they evaluate your photos.Stem Cell Body Rejuvenation

Is There any Follow-Up Procedures Involved?

It is recommended that patients return for a PRP touch-up 8-12 months after the procedure, to help with ongoing stimulation of the transplanted cells. A PRP Growth Factor injection is accomplished in the office and results in virtually no downtime or bruising or discoloration of the skin. A topical sunscreen and anti-aging cream is also recommended on an ongoing basis for the first 6 to 12 months to optimize both skin and subsurface regeneration.

How much does the Stem Cell Face Lift and Total Body Rejuvenation Cost?

In general, patients should expect to pay between $10,500 to $20,000 (USD) for the Stem Cell Facelift Procedure.
